Schezwan Chicken is a fiery, flavorful Indo-Chinese dish that has won the hearts of spice lovers. Ingredients:

1 teaspoon soy sauce

3 tablespoons Schezwan sauce (store-bought or homemade)

1 tablespoon chopped garlic

1 tablespoon chopped ginger

1 medium onion (sliced)

1 medium capsicum (diced)

2–3 green chilies (slit)

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon tomato ketchup

1 teaspoon vinegar
-
1 teaspoon sugar
-
½ cup chicken stock or water
-
2 tablespoons oil
-
Spring onions for garnish
Preparation Steps:
Step 1: Marinate and Fry the Chicken

In a bowl, combine chicken cubes with cornflour, all-purpose flour, soy sauce, ginger-garlic paste, and salt.

Deep fry or shallow fry until crispy golden brown. Set aside.
Step 2: Prepare the Schezwan Sauce Base

Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a wok on high flame.

Add chopped garlic, ginger, and green chilies. Sauté until fragrant.

Add onions and capsicum, stir-fry for 2–3 minutes.

Mix in Schezwan sauce, soy sauce, ketchup, vinegar, and sugar. Stir well.
Step 3: Combine and Finish

Add fried chicken pieces and toss in the sauce until fully coated.

Pour in chicken stock or water to make a semi-thick gravy (optional for dry version, skip this step).

Cook for another 2–3 minutes and garnish with spring onions.
